Pyper's Double Knee Surgery

Donation protected

Meet Pyper she is 13 months old and started having knee problems one week ago. We took her to the emergency vet because she couldn't put any pressure on her back left leg and then all the sudden it was both legs (not at the same time). The doctor told us her knees were popping in and out of place and if it continued she would need surgery. Well over the last week it has become more and more often that we see her not putting one or the other of her legs down so she went to see the surgeon today. Her diagnoses is Bilateral medially luxating patellae. She has to have both knees operated on at the same time and undergo therapy. Pyper is a very outgoing dog and loves to run and fetch frisbees and balls and is unable to do that with her knees the way they are now. The surgery has an 80 to 90% success rate and 2 months after surgery she can go back to her normal activities with no restrictions. If you can't donate we understand, keep the prayers and good vibes going and share if you can. Thank you for taking the time to ready Pyper's story.
