Prayers and support Dhiraj's Family

Donation protected
Imagine what death would be like at the age of 40. A promising young life, full of hope and possibilities, getting prematurely extinguished by a divine will – leaving behind a grieving young wife, a 7-year-old son, both parents, extended family, and numerous friends.

Dhiraj abruptly left this world on Jan 24, 2023, while on a family vacation in Cancún (Mexico) with his son Aaron and his wife Yami. He spent most of his short life working hard in his professional career and building a family in the US, where he had moved from India as a dreamer 9 years ago.

Dhiraj touched many lives, spreading joy with his cheerful nature, excellent humor, and ever-smiling face. His friends and acquaintances remember the ease with which he would welcome people in his heart and home: a remarkable strength of character that not all humans are disposed to. A proud son, a fantastic father, an equal husband, a loving brother, a true friend and companion, and a beautiful soul, his short span on earth would forever remain etched in the hearts of those whose lives ever intersected with his path.

Created by his friends’ collective, this page is to support Aaron and Yami with their difficult and lonely journey ahead. Yami has spent most of her life as a homemaker and has a fledgling professional career that’s less than 6 months old. Aaron is a gifted student, a Mathematics fan (something his father taught him every day, and he wants to pursue long term), and an avid basketball player.

Our appeal to you is to support their lives by contributing to this fund that will cover the expenses of Dhiraj’s funeral, about 12 months of regular family expenses and mortgages (until Yami’s professional career is stabilized), and secure Aaron’s education in the immediate term. This page is managed by a team of Dhiraj’s close friends and colleagues from the DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) Region who have known him personally for many years. The entire amount collected will be transferred to Yami’s bank account, and after expenditure on the last rites, appropriately invested in consultation with a financial advisor with the goal of Aaron’s long-term education expenses.

Dhiraj’s loss can neither be compensated, nor the grief in all his loved ones’ hearts can be taken away in a short period. Supporting his immediate family through this campaign is one of the ways we hope to stand with them in their tough times ahead.

Please respond to this GoFundMe if you need any additional details, and we will be more than happy to answer as early as possible. Thank you in advance, and God bless you all!
