Ellie's Travel Golf Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hi, everyone! Thank you for supporting me and my golf so much over the years.  Many of you frequently ask for updates on my progress and several have asked if there was any way you could donate or support my golf tournament and travel needs.

Last year, I made strides in my game.

--My biggest accomplishment was finishing  21st at the US Kids Golf Teen World Championship.

--I competed in my first Alabama Golf Association Event--the Women's State Amateur.  It was also my first match play event.  I won my flight and enjoyed playing with several girls already committed to play college golf.

--I played my first year of high school golf with Arab High School as a seventh grade non-traditional (homeschool) student.  Our team made it to the state tournament and finished fourth.

--Finally, I won both the spring and fall tours of the USKG Huntsville LT.  (We didn't have a summer tour last year). I won every USKG local tour event I played in 2019 (11/11) and had 13 (+?)overall wins.

So far, my 2020 golf season is off to a good start:

--I played in my first AGA Girls State Junior Amateur Championship.  I finished the three-day tournament in 21st  (after a promising 5th place tie the first day).

--I won the spring tour of USKG Huntsville LT.  I have now competed in 12 full local tours for US Kids and won each of those.

-- I have won 7 of my first 8 USKG events this year, and am nearing 80 total wins for my junior golf career.

Upcoming 2020 Tournaments

I have a lot to look forward to this year!  I have qualified for the USKG Teen World Championship again.  I plan to play in a few other tournaments I've played in before. The next step for me is to begin competing in more big, challenging events against older players inside and outside the Southeast.

These tournaments are a lot of fun and help me build my game and prepare for a college golf career.  As I get older, I'm also understanding how expensive big events are!  Most tournaments on this list cost $200-$355 per event.  Plus, there are practice round fees, equipment updates, and travel expenses.  I'm already taking steps to earn my own golf money.  I'm assisting my parents with all of their golf work that I can (particularly working USKG golf events and my dad's golf camps).  I'm preparing to sell my artwork, and I'm always looking for odd jobs. Please keep me in mind if you or your family need some help with small chores or if you would like for me to provide you with like-new golf balls from our massive family supply. :)

Fundraiser

Since I'm not old enough to earn much money myself, I'm hosting another fundraiser this year.  I didn't need to last year, but the impact of COVID 19 on our family's two small sports businesses was significant, so your support will make a huge difference in my being able to compete in more tournaments this year.

My goal is to raise $3000 to help with tournament expenses.  My dad says he's going to put the money in a separate account for me and allow me to manage it this year.  I look forward to learning more and playing more!

HUGE Thanks!

When you drive by the range or look out on the course and see me practicing, please know that I've thought of you!  On days when I'm tired or discouraged, I remember all the people who believe in me, encourage me, and support my golf game.  You give me what I need to push through and try to become my best on and off the course!  You'll never know how much you mean to me!  Thank you very much!
