Greetings Richmanites!
I hope this announcement finds each and every one of you, your friends and family in the best of health and spirits. Once again we are attempting to put together a cookout for this coming summer. An opportunity for fun, food, drinks and fellowship with very special friends. The logistics and fundraising efforts are being done concurrently and the details will be provided as progress is made. We have secured Saturday, August 11th as the date and the location at Mill Pond Park at 149th Street and the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx directly across the 145th street and Lenox Avenue Bridge in Harlem (same locations as 2016).This event will be hosted by classes from 1982-1986 and is open to ALL classes, their families and invited guests. In order to cover the costs associated with the event, we have set up a gofundme page and encourage all who are able to donate, to do so. Ideally, we would like a minimum donation of $25 per person attending, but whatever one is able to donate will be greatly appreciated. The consensus amongst those of us involved in the planning is that the easiest set up would facilitate a “let’s just show up and enjoy the festivities event” without any of the usual cookout work involving set up, carrying, breakdown and cooking. Depending on the results of our fundraising efforts, we may be to include additional amenities like T-Shirts, banner, etc. As always, I look forward to the event’s fruition and the opportunity to see and interact with everyone.
