Stef's Medical Bills/Wig
On December 30th, 2014, my sister, Stef, was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma. If you aren't familiar with it, this a very rare, but aggressive type of lymphoma. Within the next few weeks, she will begin chemo, and by the end of January she will have begun losing her hair from her chemo treatments.
You also may or may not know that she will be marrying the man of her dreams, Warren, on March 21st, 2015. As stressful as a wedding can already be without any extra complications, she now has a lot more on her mind. I would love for her to walk down the aisle feeling as beautiful as possible, with the least amount of stress as possible. Isn't that what we all want? We all dream of our ideal wedding day, and I want my sister to have that day she's always dreamed of; having hair may seem like a small part of it, but we all know a bad hair day can completely destroy our confidence. Let's make sure Stef has an awesome hair on her wedding day!
A real hair wig can be anywhere from $800 to $3,000, which is quite an investment. Ideally, Stef should not have to worry about the price of her wig. Since she'll be wearing her wig on her big day, she definitely shouldn't have to settle for anything she doesn't truly like. By helping mitigate the cost of her wig, she'll be able to choose the wig she wants, rather than just settling for the wig she can afford.
In addition to her wig, medical bills are starting to come in; countless tests and procedures are involved in the treatment of cancer, and each one can be very expensive. Even with medical insurance, the co-pays and uncovered items become expensive. Stef will definitely appreciate any assistance you can provide her with in relieving her medical bills.
