Help me publish my novel, Muse Unexpected

Donation protected

Have you ever looked back on your own life and wonder why you made the choices you made, wishing you could finally live up to the potential so many people have said you have, yet no matter what others say, you fail to see what they are talking about. That has been my life. I have been on a never-ending journey of finding something that I could truly believe in, always stumbling, always feeling inferior, never truly believing that what I was creating was good enough for anyone. And finally, after working 4 years on an idea, I have written a novel. It is a novel that everyone who reads it loves it. I have finally found one instance in my life where I can say, \"this is good\".

However, getting your novel published, in today\'s publishing industry, is nearly impossible. Even JK Rowlings had to receive 62 rejections before someone finally said yes.

And the only publisher that will give a new writer the time of day, are the independent publishers, who don\'t have the funds to help polish a manuscript and require the writer to take on that expense. Several publishers have said it has great promise, but requires some additional work, which translates into additional costs, and to be completely honest, I earn a meager wage and don\'t have the funds to pay an editor to work with me.

I can\'t let this opportunity fade away and I need your help.

Please help my dream come true. Regardless of the amount you donate, each person will receive an autographed copy of my book, once it is published. Additionally, each person donating to my fund will be featured in the dedication pages of my book. For once, I want to live up to my potential and have pride in myself. Please, donate.

Synopsis:
"We're Muses. Not vampires, not fairies, not werewolves. We're Muses." Sophie was sure her Mother had reached an epic level of crazy. We're Muses? She found the idea ridiculous.  She was supposed to simply accept the idea that her Mother and Grandmother were Muses, and that she should happily take up the family business.

However, Sophie couldn\'t explain away her loss of memory and recent physical transformation that made Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries look like a bad Walmart make-over. Even if she could convince herself she was suffering from major jet-lag and a growth spurt, she couldn\'t explain why her mood swings triggered an uncontrollable ability to shoot powerful bursts of energy out of her hands.

But, Muses? Muses were lame. She could recall only one movie about them, Xanadu, and she refused to start skating around in leg warmers and peasant blouses. But Sophie soon realizes modern day Muses have evolved into powerful guardians of humankind, tasked with keeping mortals on the right path and the original Olympians locked away from the world.  The Olympians have grown weary of their prison and yearn for the drug-like rush they receive from mortal worship, love and suffering. With their prison walls weakening, several have managed to escape, setting their sights on Sophie and those in the Demigod society that would stop them as they attempt to resurrect Mount Olympus.

With a mother in mourning for Sophie\'s father and a power hungry grandmother whose scheming has put everyone in mortal danger, Sophie is forced to toss away her preconceived notions about what is "normal" and find solace with Angela, a Demigod that is half Gorgon, half witch, and Bennett, another Demigod who can change into a Minotaur at will. She knows if she can somehow win over the "Muse-wary" Bennett, manage to not anger the Fates into cutting her life thread short, strike a bargain with Hades' wife Persephone to allow Sophie to see her Father one last time, and figure out how a girl, who barely passed trigonometry, is supposed to stop a homicidal group of Olympians, she'll be okay.
