I am a healthy, happy person at the ripe old age of a young 57 years old. I have a huge history in my family of ovarian and breast cancer. I lost all of the women in my family.
I was diagnosed with Stage IV rectal cancer with mets to my liver. Once that was verified, my oncologist who I met for the first time on 9/19/14 put me into the hospital immediately and started me on chemo that same night. What a shock that was for me and my friends and family. I didn't have health insurance at that time.
I felt fine and looked fine at the time. Chemo #5 and 6 really did a number on me. For the first time I felt like a sick person. I am facing #7 this weekend, starting on Jan. 9 and continuing until the 12th. It's 52 hours of straight chemo.
I am trying my best to keep working at my full time job but I have missed so much time. The bills keep pouring in and I am at my wits end.
I need some help!! I live a simple, pure life and this burden is over whelming.
