Joy is a loving mother to three girls and a 43-year wife, partner and best friend to Jeff. At 63 years young, our dear mother has just started the fight of her life. Her ruthless competitor will prove to be up against a formidable opponent for our mother is strong, determined and ready to win.
On October 16th, a trip to the doctor to check out a concerning, painful lump in her right breast turned into a confirmed diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer and the first day of a difficult new journey.
The weight of the diagnosis and the uncertainty has been overwhelming for our family,
Aside from the continued testing that began in October and treatments that will begin this month, our parents are battling the stress of not having insurance to cover her care. Our father, who is the sole income provider with modest truck driver wages, will have to figure out how he can become the sole caregiver for our mother during her treatments.
We are asking our friends, our family, strangers, loved ones, anyone, everyone, to consider supporting our efforts to help alleviate this financial burden so that our parents can focus all of their efforts and energy to win this battle. We are grateful for your prayers, your wishes and anything you might be able to give to help Joy Fight Cancer.
