Joyce Ann & Treva - Rebuilding Fund

Donation protected
On Monday, March 19, a tornado swept through Jacksonville, AL, ripping roofs off buildings, sending cars into trees, and destroying homes. My cousin’s home was in the tornado’s path and is being reported as a total loss. Their roof was completely torn away, and Joyce and Treva watched as rooms collapsed around them. They were able to grab a few personal belongings and photos as the rain continued to fall. We are so grateful that they were rescued and are now at a friend’s home while authorities focus on response, rescue, and damage assessment efforts.

Compounding this tragedy is the fact that this family has already been through so much. Six and a half years ago, Joyce lost her son. Eight months ago, she lost her husband. Joyce is also disabled suffering from health issues which severely limit mobility. She and her daughter are surrounded by loving family and friends, but are facing another major challenge in rebuilding their lives.

In the next several days, the family’s greatest need is for financial resources. They are planning to work with their insurance company and other local agencies to secure whatever assistance may be available, but acquiring that assistance may take some time. In the meantime, we are asking family and friends to help us help Joyce and Treva with a financial contribution.

Joyce and Treva will be able to access funds contributed through this secure site and purchase the things they need most urgently. Any amount will be deeply appreciated.

Love and appreciate you all,

Vanessa
