Joyce's Care and Medical Expenses

If you have ever had the type of friend that is always a joy to be with, warm and loving, open and caring, energetic and strong, then you know the type of friend that Joyce Rosenblad Hirsch is.  I have been blessed to call Joyce my friend for 40 years and because Joyce has touched my life, and so many others in so many ways, I am looking to touch hers, with your help during this difficult stage in Joyce’s life.

In November, Joyce was diagnosed with a rare form of vulvar cancer called Bartholin’s gland cancer.  She had surgery to remove the tumor, however, during surgery, they identified the tumor was too large to remove entirely.  Joyce is currently undergoing weekly chemo and daily radiation treatments to shrink the tumor with the goal being a second surgery to remove the remaining tumor completely.  The doctors could not fully ascertain what stage the cancer was at before going through a second surgery, but looks to be of an advanced stage.   Joyce’s mother Bobbie lost her fight with ovarian cancer at age 59 and just three years ago, her brother Bob also lost his battle with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma at age 54, so this news has been especially tough for Joyce and her family.

 Joyce’s light continues to shine brightly even as she faces these difficult months.  She has put her trust in God to heal her as she did years ago when she asked God to help her out of the downward spiral she was in due to her growing dependence on alcohol.  Joyce has now been sober for 13 years by the grace of God and through support of family and friends.   Her sobriety gave her a new purpose for her life. That is when she focused on her passion of helping others who had never been completely comfortable with who they are to redefine and reclaim what makes them unique, special and beautiful.  Her consulting business "True You Consulting" was born of this passion.  She has touched so many with her life’s work and her beautiful soul.   

 The treatments have taken their toll on Joyce and she is no longer able to work as she fights her battle with this disease.  Please help me in joining together to help with the cost of her care and the mounting medical expenses.  Joyce and her loving husband of just one year, Mark, along with Cooper and Izzie (their minpin babies) thank you for your support as they continue to look for ways to make the lives of family and friends more beautiful.
