A New Hope

Donation protected
Hope's journey to healing and a prosperous life has included many obstacles since she was 15. Thankfully, her trials and tribulations haven't been without victories, including the birth of her two daughters and studying Music Therapy at Berklee College as an undergraduate. Family challenges, fears and insecurities from abandonment, homelessness and abusive relationships caused her to battle severe depression for nearly 15 years. Due to societal shame and the stigma surrounding mental illness she continued to push through without help, often denying it was a problem. Thanks to the authentic love and patience of a friend and the additional support and guidance from a licensed psychiatrist, Hope now knows what she needs to do.

Her employer has generously supported her in taking care of her mental health and her daughters, and have granted her special time off to learn how to live successfully with her diagnosis. She has been accepted into a rehabilitation center which helps individuals diagnosed with mental illness recover. Her bipolar II diagnosis requires a dual diagnosis program to rebuild her foundation and form healthy coping strategies. During her time away, Hope's mother is making a remarkable sacrifice and traveling cross country to care for her granddaughters.

While 70% of the costs are covered for her inpatient stay, 30% of the funds are outstanding. She is eligible to enter the facility as of October 3, 2019, but the remainder of the funds must be covered in order for her to be accepted into the program.

September is suicide prevention month, a prominent thought within and a side effect of Hope’s depression. Her friends and loved ones are coming together to ask for your help. Will you consider making a donation to help her? Perhaps you knew Hope from a past life or experience, would you consider supporting her? You may have helped her before, and perhaps you will join in again as we help make her load a little lighter, together.

We believe that anything is possible with faith. We must never give up Hope! Hope is willing to be vulnerable and exposed. In the past, she would hide her heart and try to be happy on the outside, but inside she was suffering. No more! Not today! It's time for the veil to be lifted as she asks for help. Let's do what we can to support her. Today, at 29, Hope want's her compass reset in order to be spiritually, mentally, and emotionally sound, the best mother she can possibly be, and a thriving healthy citizen within her community and work environment.

If anyone is reading this request letter and suffering from depression, thoughts of suicide or other symptoms of mental illness, PLEASE reach out for help. Your loved ones want you and need you here.
