Josie's Medical Nightmare

Donation protected
Monday morning Josie woke up without the use of her arms or ability to speak. She was rushed to the hospital, diagnosed with a stroke and then transported 2 hours away to a hospital in Missoula that could provide the care she needed. We found out that Josie has Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO), sadly not an uncommon condition. However, the hole in her heart is larger than what is considered 'normal' for this ailment.

This heart condition potentially caused the stroke and her lifelong migraine episodes. Anyone that knows Josie understands how debilitating her migraines have been;  inability to see, excruciating pain, vomiting, limb numbness, etc. Today a heart monitor was placed to see if she is eligible for heart surgery to correct this defect and prevent another stroke. Over the past 3 years Josie has endured 2 Thyroid Storms, a Thyroidectomy and debilitating migraines.

Josie didn't ask me to set this fundraiser up for her.  However, as her sister, and knowing her medical struggles these 3 years, I know she needs our help. She always supported my kids and I while I served on activity duty and now she needs help. She is a single mother of 2 little boys, ages 4 and 7, who works full-time at St. Pete's Hospital and solely provides for her family. She is still catching up financially from her thyroid surgery 18 months ago to now face more medical bills, time from work and transportation costs to see the specialists she needs in Missoula.

Please help us support Josie during this trying time. We're grateful for your assistance!
