Joshua Sobero's release from I.C.E

With a day we thought would be a celebration & the beginning of a hopeful, promising life turned out to be far from that. On April 23, Josh & I got dressed up to go into his immigration interview for his change of status to get his green card. Sent Ariel to school said we would go out to dinner later to celebrate. We filed all the correct paperwork & paid $3,500 in application fees. We thought we were doing the "right thing" so he could become a legal resident. He was called in & I waited for 20 mins..the interviewer called me in..as soon as I walked in I seen a plastic bag with his belt & all his belongings. The interviewer said .."Im sorry but your husband has been detained by I.C.E.....I was in shock, confused & didnt know where to begin....I got mad & told him we were just trying to do things the "right way" and you all are just breaking up families..
I left & started just calling lawyer after lawyer...to make a long story short..most just wanted $...didnt give me any hope but the last lawyer I talked to...she assured me that she would do everything possible to help....I had a good feeling about her, stilll do. I dont know what I am doing...I am just taking it step by step by trying to get my husband out of jail& to stop the deportation. Me & his mom, dad came up with the first payment of $1,500 so his lawyer can start the motions that is needed to keep him here for his daughter Ariel & myself.  All I know is Im trusting in God & asking Him to lead my steps because I didnt have a clue where to begin. With the help of hus dad, sister, his mom, my friends, family, his cousins I am just trying to stay strong for him& Ariel. I would appreciate any help offered..I am not looking for a handout but just help forJosh so he can come back home... I will continue doing my part with the lawyer, and working overtime at work...if you cant help monetarily I understand...just keep us in your prayers....
