Urgent Funding Needed for Graduation

Good afternoon,
My name is Joshua Thompson and I am a graduating senior, Political Science major at Hampton University. This past week, Hampton University notified my family and I that in order for me to graduate, I have to pay $6,864.00 by May 10th.We received a refund check in January, due to my housing charges being removed , but my scholarship remained on my account. Since then, my housing charges have been put back on my account and the refund checked was used for bills. We still owe, the $6,864. I am deeply saddened because of the great stress that this is causing family and I being as though this is my last month at Hampton. For now, I am accepting all donations, whether big or small. During my tenure at Hampton University, I have been actively involved on my campus and in the Hampton Roads community. I have been a class officer for 2 years, serving as Mister Sophomore and currently, Mister Senior. Likewise, I have been a member of the Greer Dawson Wilson Student Leadership Training Program for the past three years. I am also a member of and hold a position with DC/MD/VA Pre-Alumni Council and Greater Emmanuel Temple COGIC Campus Ministry. Even with being socially active, I make sure to have a healthy balance of social life and academics, which has allowed me to be a Dean's list scholar every semester at Hampton.
