Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I am raising funds for my sister, Karen Chevalier.

"I think Karen might be one of the strongest women I know!" These were the EXACT words I had just said to our Dad on the phone last week while talking about my sister. Little did I know that these words would greatly be tested in a way that nobody should ever have to experience.

Karen's life changed in 2009 when she lost her loving husband, Glenn, who was a spectacular father and spouse. My sister was faced with raising three young boys by herself. For the last 13 years, I have witnessed her do just that with grace and resilience, doing things I could never even imagine doing by myself with three children. It has not always been easy for the boys not to have their father. I have witnessed Karen do all she could to give these boys the best lives, many times sacrificing for herself, and I am so incredibly proud of her.

In the early morning hours of December 4th, the unimaginable happened. Karen's middle son, Josh, tragically died in a car accident. Josh was only 18 years old, and this tragedy occurred just four days before his 19th birthday. My heart is broken into a million pieces for Karen and his brothers, Matthew and Evan. My sister and my nephews have been through too much.

I have set up this gofundme in hopes of easing my sister's financial burden she is facing with his funeral services. I imagine this is the most challenging thing for a single mother of three to do, and I want to help her in any way I know. Thank you all so much!!
