Josh's Journey

There are some things in life you just can't prepare for. At the age of 16 my little brother, Joshua Maxwell Begale, went to a specialist about breathing problems he had for months. After careful examination and a CT Scan on August 31st, an unknown mediastinal tumor mass was found attached to his lymph nodes, airways, and chest. On September 1st he was flown to Le Bonheur in Memphis, TN. After a weekend filled of tests, monitoring, and an intense biopsy process, Josh is being transferred to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. As doctor's continue to research and figure out the best ways to attack what is most likely Hodgkins Lymphoma (not yet confirmed), Josh and our family need all forms of support. Outside of St. Jude's, with the hospital and transportation costs for Josh; medical expenses for examination, monitoring, medication, and support; along with the cost of living for our mother and immediate family for transportation, it is difficult for us to handle this battle alone.
