This gofundme page is for my amazing nephew, Josh Farris. Josh is my very first nephew, I can remember when he was just a baby and how fun he was to play with, he is now a young man of 29 and married to his best friend, Rachel.
Last year Josh was diagnosed with an illness that showed over 50 tumors in his body, 4 being in his head. Though the news of so many tumors scared us all we rested in the fact that the doctors said it was not cancer. Unfortunatley Josh started to have some serious symptoms due to the tumors in his brain. He stared to loose his sight in one eye, had trouble hearing and swallowing. He also struggled with his balance, always having a ringing in his ears.
In September he went in for a major surgery with the hopes of removing some/all of the tumor that was giving him these symptons, mostly to relieve the pressure and see if they could reverse them.
Sadly, the doctors that thought it was not cancer were wrong and Josh was re-diagnosed with brain and spinal cancer. The most incredible thing is that the doctors can not find the source of the cancer (were it originated from). Without this they are unable to come up with the most effective treatment.
Josh has been traveling from Maine to Boston to have any test that could help them figure out what they are dealing with. In the course, they have lost many days at work with the traveling. This page is to raise funds for travel, gas, lodging and food as they continue to make trips to Boston for test and hopefully soon, treatments.
Any amount will help and be greatly appreciated.
Our family has a deep faith that God knows what he is doing, we are convinced He has a major role for Josh.
