Jose's Mom Hurricane Maria Relief

As you all know, Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico.  The degree of the catastrophe island residents are dealing with will be felt for years and will be spoken about for decades.  Since my father's passing almost six years ago, my mom "Cuca" has wished to remain on the island.  I have helped my mother in every way I can, as any son should, and will continue to do so for all her long-term needs.  However, the devastation from this hurricane is just so much, that her short-term needs are overwhelming.  Her home has suffered major damage and her car did as well.  She remains without electricity and water service is spotty at best.

Her immediate needs inlcude repairing her car, purchasing a generator for her home, making some initial repairs to her home (Some of her windows were blown out by the storm's winds).  The need is likely to be greater, but I believe we can get a good start by raising $10,000.

This is why I am now asking for your help to raise these funds to get her back on her feet.  I have struggled with the idea of starting this campaign.  I realized that it was more about my own pride.  My mother needs help and I need to do everything I can to provide that help.  And so, here I am now, asking you to help me, help her.
