Joseph's Fight to End His MS
Donation protected
Joseph Llanos has been battling the debilitating illness Multiple sclerosis (MS) for over 15 years now, with an official diagnosis only being made almost 3 years ago. Joseph read about Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT), which is shown to halt disease progression.
Joseph attempted to have the HSCT transplant performed at the Northwestern University, in Chicago with Dr. Richard Burt, but since it’s only in the trial stages and not yet FDA approved, he was not covered by his Health Care Insurance. Treatment in the United States is also expensive and out of pocket medical bills alone would be $140,000. Joseph isn’t willing to wait for these trials to be completed while his MS worsens. The A.A. Maximov Department of Hematology and Cellular Therapy, in Moscow, Russia, headed by Dr. Denise Federenko is however a credible medical facility overseas with highly success results as well.
Joseph has been on a waiting list to receive treatment at the facility in Moscow for over a year, he finally was accepted for treatment and given a date of January 2018! The total cost for treatment at the facility in Moscow is approximately $50,000. Joseph will also be required to travel to Moscow and spend a month away from his family. Coming up with $50,000 is overwhelming to Joseph, and not wanting to burden to others makes it even more difficult for Joseph to ask for money but Joseph knows now that he must swallow his pride and now asks you for your help. This treatment, HSCT, has brought hope back into our lives, and is the only chance Joseph has of being able to watch his daughter Isabella, 5, grow up. Getting back his life and being the husband and father that he can be is far more important to Joseph than anything else!
Thank you for your support and prayers! Any donation amount will help Joseph fight back against MS. God Bless and thank you SO much!
Gratefully,
Joseph Llanos, Joseph Llanos's family and friends
