Joseph Vankpahna Medical Expenses

During his two hour commute
home, Joseph was pondering the busy holiday work week at a large
fulfillment center outside of
Baltimore. 

As he was walking, he was approached by a car. Shining their headlights directly at him, they demanded his money. He tossed what little he had toward the vehicle and the thieves scooped it up then shot him. 

He did not offer up his phone, and was able to call his daughter who dispatched the police. As he lay on the pavement helpless and bleeding, cars passed by. No one stopped to help. The police arrived quickly and he was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center where he received excellent care. 

Suffering a compound fracture to his leg, he spent Thanksgiving morning in surgery. He had rods inserted in his shattered ankle. 

Joseph will spend a considerable time healing both physically and mentally.  The family needs help with medical, living and transportation expenses. All proceeds will go directly to the family. All help is deeply appreciated, no matter how big or small.  Please share this with family and friends.
