Dad passed away from neck cancer. He was a hard worker from childhood on. The last job Dad has was as a bartender at the New Hampton Inn, which he had for many years. Dad needed to work for him because it sustained him as a person. He had so much love for where he lived, the people he encountered, and the conversations he had. Dad would have given the shirt off his back for anyone. He was also a lifelong learner. He did not have life insurance. We could really use some help as the funeral home bill is due by the end of August. We got him cremated and plan to have a beautiful celebration of life in New Jersey where he loved on October 1st. He thought that he lived in the most beautiful place for him so it is only fitting that we have it there. There will, most likely, also be costs associated with wrapping up all of his personal effects.
It is a difficult thing to ask for, but I have learned in life that, sometimes, you have to wave the white flag and say that you need help. It is very humbling. I am very grateful for all of the kind words, pictures, and offerings of help.
