Our Father was unexpectedly taken away from us at the young age of 58. Two months ago his blood test told him he had nothing to be worried about. He suddenly suffered a massive heart attack. All four arteries were clogged at the same time. Unfortunately, he was by himself in the restroom and all efforts to save him came too late. Jose Alvarez was an awesome father, loyal husband, a compassionate human being, and a free spirit. He truly was angel that was callled back to heaven. He leaves behind three children: Joe, Linda, George and a wife of 35 years.
He was the rock that held his family together. He worked hard his whole life. At the age of 10 he has in charge of his family. His father was murdered in Mexico and he had no choice but to leave school and shine shoes to feed his siblings. He worked hard up until the second he died. Refusing to go the hospital from a chest pain because there was too much work to do.
Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family, miniature schnauzers and helping others better themselves. If you needed a shirt, he would take his own off his back for you. Our mom has been married to our Dad since she was 17. The loved they shared is as pure as it gets. Both refugees from their country. It took him three tries to cross the Mexican border. On his last try he walked across the desert with holes in his shoes. He started off in the USA without a dime in his pocket. Our Father was able to start a life together with our Mother in San Francisco in the 80's.
Our parents ran an auto body shop together for 12 years but with his death, the shop will have to close down and our Mother will be left unemployed with no foreseeable income . He refused to have life insurnance and now we must all come together to send him off to Heaven with a decent funeral.
