Josalyn's Surgery

Donation protected
Josalyn is schedule for an extensive surgery February 7th at Beaumont Childrens Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. In June of 2019, Josalyn had what is called SCFE, which was compounded by a fall off a hoverboard. She spent the last week of June in Toledo Hospital recovering from her initial surgery, in August she started physical therapy and we still had many concerns. After seeking a second opinion it was determined that Josayln would never walk correctly without another surgery. She is scheduled to have a Femoral Osteotomy on February 7th. During this surgery they will remove a wedge piece from her femur, surgically break the femur bone, and then rotate the bone inward with screws to give her leg a more "normal" appearance in hopes of fixing her anatomy so she can walk without a pronounced limp. She will be in the hospital for about a week and will not resume school for over a month, she will be wheelchair bound for at least two months before she begins the step-down program to begin walking without assistive devices. We are asking for donations for the family, as they have to restructure many parts of their home to accommodate a wheelchair and so Josayln is both comfortable and safe. Both parents will be talking time off work, as well as the cost of staying in Michigan to be close to Josayln and driving back and forth. If you can not donate they family would very much appreciate prayers for Josalyn and sharing this! Thank you all!
