Stockton Couple Lit on fire by Man In Their Home, Father Rescues Daughter from Burning House

On August 15th, 2020, Larry Galicinao knocked on Jorge and Patsy's door late at night. He had a can of gasoline in one hand and a gas-soaked rag on fire in the other. Patsy opened the door. Larry doused her with gasoline, lighting her on fire in seconds. Patsy screamed horrifically with her body now burning from head to toe just after opening the door.
Jorge, her partner near the back of their house, sprinted towards her. That second, the gas can exploded in a ball of fire. Engulfing Patsy, the attacker, part of Jorge and the rest of their tiny house.
Jorge was pushed back by the explosion, blocking him from reaching Patsy which badly burned him and ignited the rest of their house on fire instantly. Patsy ran to the front yard on fire frantically screaming. This happening all while Jorge and Patsy's five-year-old daughter was showering in the back part of the house.
Jorge ran to rescue his daughter. Grabbing her with one arm, he held her high to keep her out of the flames outside the bathroom as he managed to make it out the back door and escape with both of them.
He screamed to his neighbors for help and passed his daughter to a neighbor by their backyard fence. Another neighbor rushed to put out the flames still on his back and the rest of his body. He then passed out from all the pain. Severe burns covered 80% of his body. Thanks to Jorge's actions, their daughter escaped without any burns or injuries.
While Jorge was saving their daughter, other neighbors rushed to help put out the flames covering Patsy in their front yard.
A neighbor is quoted saying, "it's either help or watch them burn. I honestly couldn't watch that. Her screaming was the most horrific thing I have ever heard. I don't know what posses somebody to do that," she said." The smell was horrific…to see the lady burning…to see her innards, I will never forget it."
Both Patsy and Jorge suffered severe burns to more than 80% of their bodies and have been in critical condition in the hospital since the attack.
Larry did this all over petty arguments they had as neighbors over the past few months. One of them being parking issues on the street. As a result, he decided to try to murder them and their five-year-old daughter, who he knew was inside at the time, in the most horrific way possible by lighting them and their house on fire.
Larry attempted to escape the crime scene and collapsed three doors down from Jorge and Patsy's home. He's currently in critical care in a hospital with three attempted murder charges being brought against him. He's expected to remain in prison for most of the rest of his life.
No one deserves this happening to them. No one could've even imagined something like this happening. This is why we need your help in supporting Jorge, Patsy, and their daughter in their long road to recovery that's ahead of them.

Where are Jorge and Patsy now?
At this time, they're both in critical condition at a hospital near Stockton, California. They will need to undergo multiple skin grafts, surgeries with lots of intensive medical care to be able to survive. Doctors estimate they'll be hospitalized for a minimum of six months before they can potentially leave the hospital.
After that point, they'll still need close care, rehabilitation, therapy and assistance until they can fully support themselves. Currently, they cannot talk, write or move from their hospital beds.
Where and how will your donations be used?
All your donations will go to support Jorge and Patsy once they are mentally and physically stable in the hospital. They'll be able to use your donations to pay for any remaining medical bills, a safe place to live in with their daughter after they recover, therapy, living expenses and other living expenses they have after.
They lost everything when their house burned down. Your donations will help create a solid foundation they can use to restart and rebuild their lives with after this unthinkable attack that's happened to them.
When someone suffers burns to 50+% of their body, it's hard to have a normal life after. Jorge has suffered burns to 80% of his body, and Patsy has burns on 85% of her body. It's not clear if either of them will ever be able to return to work again for the rest of their lives.
In the past, Jorge worked in construction and as a handyman. Before the Covid crisis, Patsy mostly took care of their daughter by day and previously worked at restaurants by night to help them make ends meet.
They didn't have much. Both had been struggling to find consistent work over the past few months amid the pandemic. The thing they care most about was their daughter. They were hardworking people who just wanted to support their daughter and provide her with opportunities to live a better life than they did.
Now, their lives have been devastated and flipped upside down by the senseless and evil person that did this to them. You can help Jorge and Patsy rebuild their lives after suffering from such a horrible event by donating to them today.
We've set an initial goal of $100,000 we are trying to raise for them. We hope to be able to raise much more than this. An initial $100,000 will give them a good start to rebuild their lives with.
