Jorge Estacio

Jorge was enjoying a nice Sunday afternoon (August 13, 2017) with his friends and family when all of a sudden, he collapsed, became unresponsive and had stopped breathing. Strong, active & athletic, never been to the hospital nor been sick, all of a sudden suffers a cardiac arrest. After twenty-five minutes of non-stop chest compressions (CPR) between his wife Ann's bestfriend, Mary (luckily, who also happens to be an RN for KP & is responsible for first noticing Jorge), Mary's husband,Edwin, Jorge's father-in-law, Sing, & brother-in-law, John who held & supported his head, the Paramedics finally arrived & transported him to Kaiser Vallejo for initial treatment & testing. After a few days, he then needed to be transferred to KP Santa Clara for further study. Jorge had to undergo comprehensive diagnostic testings and eventually had to have a heart procedure done. Jorge is expected to be in the hospital for another week for close observation. In the mean time, medical expenses are quickly adding up and we felt we needed to start something to help alleviate any financial stress, so Jorge and his family can focus on treatment and healing. The money donated will be used to pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance. Please continue to keep Jorge and his family in your prayers.
