Jordan's Life

Jordan Seed is a nine year old boy who is in desperate need of help. For the last 2 ½ years he has been hospitalized once a month for a week due to a severe colon disease. He has been diagnosed with a colon motility disorder and neurogenic bladder. The doctors do not know what is causing this disorder but have found that it is damaging his other organs . Along with the organs damage, Jordan’s legs have started to fail and the doctors do not know why. After hundreds of tests, operations and visits, Jordan is suffering from severe Anxiety. Due to the severe anxiety over doctors’ offices, Jordan must be sedated in order to have any procedures or tests done.

Jordan’s mother was forced to quit her job because the doctors, hospitals and specialists that he needs to see are located in Portland Oregon and Seattle Washington. They live in Lincoln city and have to travel by train and bus to these cities every week. Jordan does not have a wheel chair and the insurance company is fighting everything the doctors prescribe. The insurance company will not cover any cost for this families travel expenses, hotel stays or much needed medications. The SCCA House in WA, is for families to stay when their children are in the hospital but the cost is still over $100 a night including tax. Jordan’s mother, Mrs. Wilcox, was receiving assistance from Samaritan but the program ran out of assistance.

There are many medical supplies that Jordan needs to be comfortable and survive. Unfortunately the insurance company does not cover many of these needed items. We are asking for funds to help cover these needs. The following is a list of supplies that he needs if anyone is interested in donating specific items instead of cash.
