Jordan's Kidney Care Fund
Donation protected
On September 11th, 2023 I was diagnosed with kidney failure. In October I was diagnosed with Stage 5 Failure at a eGFR of 12. For comparison, a 60 is the lowest end of normal and 120 the highest end of normal. From my understanding most people would be between 90-100.
Since then I have managed with the help of doctors and my wife to raise that an eGFR of 18 in November and an 18 in February. March 1st my blood work showed I was still at 18. So I am fairly stable now.
Currently, I am unable to work due to pain, fatigue, and depression. Which is hard to grapple with after having been a providing individual for so long.
I am afraid we will lose everything over this.
We've even gotten letters from our pharmacy insurance threatening to cancel our coverage.
I take a variety of different medications, 15 different types, which even with insurance costs about $200 monthly. I see doctors very often and co-pays are hard to meet and any bills after also going unpaid for the time being.
Whatever you donate is paying for my medical bills (future and current) and helping my wife cover our living expenses; mortgage, car payment, utilities, and food. Hopefully soon, also, a kidney transplant, as that is my only path for survival.
Anything you can do, including sharing a link to this funding drive, will help me out immensely. I hate doing this. It embarrasses me and makes me feel bad. However, I don't want to be foolish and prideful if there's a chance the situation doesn't have to be as hard as it is.
I have people counting on me who I just can't let down (even when sometimes I want to give up).
I am setting up social media accounts so if you have questions, you can reach out to me there, and I will respond as I get time.
