As I am winding down my career and getting ready to transition into retirement, I would like to thank each one of you for the many years of support and friendship. It has meant the world to me.
As you can imagine, this has not been the best time to sell my business. With over thirty years of experience and record-breaking sales behind me, I find myself getting emotional when I start to think about walking away from my life’s work.
Recently, one of my employees showed a keen interest in continuing to run Mangia/Nosh and after careful consideration; I have decided to hand over my apron and keys to this young entrepreneur. Jordan Cervetto has stepped up and offered to carry on the Mangia/Nosh legacy that my team and I have built over the years. Jordan has worked with me and alongside my chef and office staff for over 3 years now. Many of you have met him at events or deliveries. Jordan has a passion and drive that is not common among young people today. He is willing to put in the long hours this type of business needs. He is committed to continuing to educate himself with new and treading culinary skills and is eager to participate in family gatherings and business events. I feel that Jordan will be in great hands with my office and kitchen staff here to support him. I am excited to watch him take the helm and see Mangia/Nosh continue to grow.
Due to the pandemic, I can only hand over the keys to Jordan. He will need some startup money to keep the doors open and to use for the rental deposit, insurances and inventory.
I am writing to you today to see if you can help Jordan on this great journey, by contributing to the Go-Fund-Me account (GOFUNDME.COM/JORDAN039S-MANGIA-NOSH-START-UP-FUNDS) I have created for him and Mangia/Nosh. We are trying to raise $25,000.00 by December 31, 2020, in order to keep the same great food and service that we have delivered for the past 30 years.
As a special thank you, Jordan has agreed to offer a discount to those of you who contribute in the following amounts. A $ 500. gift will include a 10% discount on a future catered event, 12% discount for a gift of $ 1,000. and a $15% discount for $ 1,500. or more.
We are doing this in hopes of enabling Jordan and Mangia/Nosh Catering to continue to be a part of the Bay Area Catering Scene.
