You can donate or pledge funds to the Cross Country team in honor of Coach Murray's effort. Then come out and cheer on Coach Murray on March 17th!
The Jordan Girls and Boys Cross Country teams are raising funds to support three projects for the 2018-2019 school year. We are asking current and former Falcons runners, their families and friends of the program to support this effort by donating through this page.
Our fundraising goal is $5,000 and it will enable the program to:
* Purchase a Fully Automated Timing, or FAT Mat - This mat, combined with our existing mat, will double the width of the finish line and use of the timing system capacity for cross country races with multiple finishers.
* Construct and install a bridge over the second creek on our course. This will enable runners to more safely cross the creek. In addition to helping our athletes, the middle school cross country athletes who race at the Durham Public Schools Middle School Championship (annually hosted by Jordan) will have a safer experience during their race running above the creek instead of through it.
* Cross Country Sign - We want to design and build a cross country sign honoring cross country athletes and teams from Jordan’s 50 years of cross country success. The Cross Country sign would be similar in look and appearance to the John Gray Track sign at the entrance to track and football stadium.
All donations to this campaign are tax deductible. No gift is too small and if we exceed the goal the money will be used for other cross country program needs.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
