Jordan Roughton Family supplemental support fund

Donation protected

Brian and Stephanie Roughton and their wonderful family need our continued help.  We are all praying for Jordan and his recovery.  Jordan's accident was on Sunday, 9/15 - two days after the birth of his new baby sister.   For details about this heartbreaking tragedy and the amazing recovery that Jordan has been making so far, please visit Stephanie's Facebook page  at https://www.facebook.com/stephanie.fine.52

Thanks to an incredible outpouring of support from the community, we reached almost $19,000 on the initial emergency fundraiser. Due to accounting recommendations, on 9/21 we closed the initial campaign and opened this secondary campaign to continue to receive donations.  We have updated the goal of this campaign yet again thanks to continued donations! (The original campaign  can still be viewed at  https://www.gofundme.com/f/jordan-recovery-family-fund ).  All  donations made here will go directly to the family's account. These donations will be used up quickly as the expenses pile on, and every dollar is needed and tremendously appreciated.  Brian will not be working for an indeterminate period of time, so this help you are all providing is the main support for the entire family for now and into the near future and longer, including the as-of-yet unknown medical and recovery costs which are usually far greater than anyone predicts . The gratitude from the family for all this amazing support cannot be put into words.

JORDAN 10/02/19

*In the middle of the night, Jordan pulled his feeding tube out ... AGAIN (3rd time ) This time, he’s drinking enough protein shakes, yogurt, applesauce , and they are going to leave the tube out!!
*Today Jordan also got the PICC line (IV catheter in his arm)removed!
*Physical, Occupational & Speech Therapy sessions continue. And Jordan continues to impress!
*Jordan is more and more effectively using picture boards to help answer questions and communicate what he needs.

Brian & I are working to situate life schedules and assistance, as doctors explained - best case scenario we are in the hospital for 2 more weeks with the potential for it being as long as another month. ❤️
We are incredibly grateful for Dell Childens Hospital and the fantastic care and attention Jordan continues to receive.
Brian and I are also looking into what needs to be done at home to allow a smooth and safe transisiton.

More updates to come ~
