Jordan Parris, Schaumburg HS class of 2013, Carthage College alumna, passed away on Saturday night in a car accident in Kenosha. She was killed instantly by a reckless driver.
Jordan was a bright light in the lives of many. Her love of her family, friends, and every random stranger she came across filled others with so much life. She exuded bubbly warmth and an unrelenting smile. Jordan was always willing to lend a helping hand, as proof by her shaving her head for St. Baldrick's while she was in high school, and for the many charities she helped out. She was passionate about kindness and teaching others, was an animal-lover, and...was admittedly "extra", but her personality lit up a room and she never ceased to amaze.
She was excited about moving with her family out to California and continuing her education.
Her mother Anya has had it very hard lately, with Jordan's stepfather having a stroke in October and also having to care for him. Let's raise money to give back to this amazing family so they can afford burial costs without other needless hardship.
