Hello!
We are raising money to donate to Australia Zoo’s Koala Rehabilitation program!
Since Namjoon has always spoken of his love for Australia and has a self-drawn koala BT21 character, we believe that this is a meaningful project for him.
Proceeds will be going towards the sponsorship and rehabilitation of koalas.
Additionally, if we reach our goal, we will be able to name the baby koala ‘Koya’ after Namjoon’s BT21 character, as well as have a plaque located at the enclosure to signify the Koala’s name, representing the efforts of ARMY in raising awareness.
In Australia, koalas are becoming more endangered as their natural habitats are being torn down to make space for buildings. There is also a large outbreak of disease amongst the animals that needs to be monitored and treated to ensure the survival of our beloved koalas.
Australia Zoo works to help these animals through buying land for them to live on, treating their medical problems through rehabilitation programs and also through educating the general public about these increasing threats to our national animal.
