Jonathan’s Road to Recovery

Jon is 31 years old. He and his wife Lana have been married for just over two years and have started a life for themselves in Delaware. Jon is loved by many and his sense of humor has warmed many of our hearts over the years. Him living so far away from us is rough and that’s why this next part is even more difficult. On September 11th, Jon had a debilitating stroke. His doctors are at a loss as to why this has happened to him—much less to an otherwise healthy young adult—but have since given the best treatment to get Jon into a rehab facility and back on his feet.  Our mother is a nurse in Richmond, and she has spent the last several weeks by his bedside. While Jon is experiencing paralysis in his right side and will need a very long recovery, his humor and joy for life is still intact. We are so thankful for the well-wishes, prayers, and the good work of everyone involved in Jon’s ongoing recovery.
