Jon Fell Off A Second Story Roof
Donation protected
Jon fell off a second story roof yesterday while helping friends roof their house. He was severely injured and is in the hospital trauma unit awaiting surgery. His injuries include his right ankle/heel being shattered, a break in his left lower foot/leg, fractures to his spine as well as other injuries.
Prior to this catastrophic event Jon had been working hard to rebuild his life. He was to begin his 3rd year of his Electrician Apprenticeship this month and moved into a new apartment just a couple of months ago.
Jon has always had a heart of gold, always willing to help others without request both friends and family alike. Whether something practical like working on someones car, their house, or chopping wood or less tangible things such as providing emotional support and encouragement to a friend or family member he is always there.
His injuries are many and he is likely to require multiple surgeries and will have a long road to recovery.
For the next several months he will need money to help cover his medical expenses as well as to help with his daily needs such as covering his rent, bills etc. As his sister I know he would probably never ask for help which is why I am doing it on his behalf. I told him he could be angry with me later.
We also solicit your prayers. Jon has a deep faith in God which will no doubt be tested during this time.
With deep love and gratitude,
Julie
