Anyone who knows Jonetta Palmer Collins, knows that she has a huge heart and helps anyone she can - family, friends, strangers, and the veterans at her job. It's our turn to help her as much as we can during this difficult time. So many of your have reached out asking what you can do to help Jonetta through this. This GoFundMe is set up to aid Jonetta in the financial stresses that lie ahead with her next phase of treatment while raising her two daughters Angelina and Lydia, including medical bills not covered by insurance and essential living expenses.
Jonetta has been fighting stage three Triple Negative Breast Cancer since February 2020. Even with the complications of treatment during covid-19, she was able to get a special consultation from Sloan Kettering in New York to plan the most effective treatment for her back home in West Virginia. It has been an especially lonely experience since all of her chemo treatments have been by herself - friends and family couldn't join her due to covid. We're so happy to celebrate that her chemo treatments have finished and she was able to ring that bell!
On September 10, 2020, Jonetta will start a series of surgeries as her next phase of treatment. During the following 2-3 months, Jonetta will be unable to keep working while she recovers from the surgeries.
