Jonathan's Fight Against Leukemia

Hello family and friends. It is with a heavy heart that I create this GoFundMe to aid in my cousin Jonathan's battle against Leukemia.

My cousin Jonathan is the most genuine, caring, loving teddy bear you will ever find. He is  20 years old and from El Paso, Texas. He is a freshman in college and is working hard to become a nurse one day so that he may take care of others.

About a month ago, Jonathan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and was immediately flown to MD Anderson in Houston Texas to begin an aggressive treatment of chemotherapy. While undergoing treatment, Jonathan suffered 6 seizures in one day resulting from two strokes that left him paralyzed on his right side. 

Doctors are hopeful that Jonathan will make a full recovery, however it is anticipated that he will remain hospitalized for at least another month. In addition, after Jonathan is discharged from MD Anderson, he will remain on a regimented chemotherapy treatment plan for the next 2-3 years. Throughout the next 2-3 years, my aunt and cousin will need to travel back and forth between El Paso, Texas and Houston, Texas. These extra medical and travel expenses come at the most difficult time for my family as my uncle, Jonathan's father, underwent heart surgery the day Jonathan was diagnosed with Leukemia.

It is at this time that I realize that some trials are too difficult to bear wthout reaching out for help. And so, we humbly ask for donations of any amount and greatly appreciate anything you can give. All donations will go towards medical expenses, airfare, and temporary lodging while in Houston.

We additionally ask that you pray for Jonathan and the Phillipp family, as well as prayers for the doctors and nurses.
