Jonathan's Cancer Battle

Donation protected
My name is Jonathan Hurtado, I am currently 19 years old and I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 4 on May 2nd. It was a Tuesday while I was preparing for finals week in college when my family and I got the news that changed my life completely. None of us were really expecting myself to be diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma after only going to the hospital for continuous fever. This has affected me to the point where I had to stop working at my part time job, drop out of school, and dedicate all my time and effort to battle this cancer. For those that do not know me really well, there are five people in my family, I have an older brother, a younger sister, and my parents whom have supported me during this difficult time. I would like to continue going to college to get a degree and go to medical school. With the treatment and support of the doctors at the University Medical Center of El Paso, I have been able to stay positive and begin to feel better. The tumor I had in my neck area has decreased in size and the intense sweating during the night has stopped, allowing me to sleep like before. I was told I have a really high percentage of being cancer free in less than a year but the medical expenses for my family keep on increasing day by day. I really don’t like asking for money but I’m doing this to support my family through this difficult time. Last thing I have to say is thank you for everyone that has helped and cancer may have started the fight but I will finish it. God Bless you all!
Me llamo Jonathan Hurtado
