Jonathan's Hernia Operation

This fundraiser has been set up for friend of mine in Thailand who desperately needs a hernia operation.
Jonathan, is a UK citizen who has been living and working as a teacher in Thailand for the last 9 years. Unfortunately, he has just lost 6 months of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has been using his minimal savings for just day to day living expenses.
As he is a foreign national, and Thailand is a popular place for foreigners to go for other surgeries, the government can charge higher rates to foreigners also needing essential medical procedures. There is no middle ground for people who live and work over there sadly.
“An inguinal hernia happens when there is a weakness in the muscles at the lower part of the abdomen. Some of the contents of the abdomen have pushed through.”
Jonathan has been in significant pain for quite a while now, and the long-term dangers of leaving this untreated can be quite bad.
I’m asking my Aussie friends (and anyone else who reads this) to chip in whatever they can afford to help him out. Otherwise he will have to endure this pain and any complications until mid-next year when he can eventually scrape the funds together himself.
