Jon Seas burned trying to save friend from fiery car crash

Hello my name is Richard Herod III. I am writing this go fund me today to help lift up the spirit of Jon Seas the son of my good friend Jim Seas. Jon is only 20 years old and is the youngest of three children that Jim adopted out of foster care. Jon is also a former varsity foot ball player at Columbia Heights High School.

Jim and his family have been tested by God this year by tragedy after tragedy. Prior to this car accident, Jim's sister passed away from cancer. Jim almost lost his son at the end of March due to him being a passenger in a fiery single car DUI crash.

One of Jon's friends sadly did not survive the car crash. The driver and another passenger fled on foot leaving Jon severely burned and alone. Jon demonstrated great strength and bravery as he burned while trying to rescue his friend. Sadly, his friend did not survive and Jon was severely burned.

Jon is currently alert and in tremendous pain. He has been undergoing a series of skin graft surgeries to help heal the almost 1/3 of his body that was burned.

We are looking for your assistance today as the next 6 weeks of care in the Hennepin Health Care specialized burn unit is expected to cost over $250,000. If the driver is caught and has insurance, the hospital bills will still likely exceed any coverage by tens if not hundreds of thousands.

Jim and Jon have always cared for the Twin Cities community. Jim has worked hard at the RS Eden assisting those in need and has many years of history fundraising for local non-profits. This is a chance to help him and his family in their time of need.
