Greektown Hotel Assault-Morgan

Jon & his good friend Zack went to Greektown casino/hotel for a bachelor party for a co-worker on Friday. While in casino; both Jon & Zack were confronted by 2 guys wanting to fight. Jon and Zack stated they didn’t want to fight and headed toward the casino hotel where they were staying the night with guys from bachelor party. Jon & Zack were hoping to avoid the situation / fight by returning to the hotel room although, upon exiting the elevator in the hotel they were jumped by these same 2 guys and a 3rd guy. Jon was knocked down and beaten; Zack started to defend himself the best he could with being out numbered; until security showed up.
Jon was rushed to hospital in ambulance with a fractured skull & swelling on the brain, cut open mouth needing stitches, beaten up face, & a fractured neck.
Zack appeared to have a concussion but didn’t want to be seen at that hospital. After sitting with Jon for hours while Zack was in pain; Zack and a friend took Jon’s car to his house & dropped Zack at his house to get rest.
Jon has been released from hospital but will be in a neck brace and out of work for at least 8 weeks. Jon will need to see a doctor, neurologist, mouth surgeon for mouth surgery, and an internal specialist.
Jon is a very hard worker, a homeowners, has a lease on a new car, and has a job with a great company but didn’t plan on the lower income for this extended period of time. Jon will receive short term disability and he pays for medical insurance but he will have lots of doctor / hospital co-pays, missed work days, and basic homeowner expenses that will start to pile up.
Any funds donated will help Jon pay these expenses and provide that sense of security that comes with having a job and a regular paycheck.
Jon’s family & girlfriend will also be helping Jon with expenses and transportation to all the visits but he feels bad that we need to help; so these donations will help Jon feel independent more and not indebted.
