Join the fun! Perth Vegan Expo 2024

Hello, beautiful people of the Perth Vegan Community! It’s Liberation Cooperative here, the small but passionate team behind the Perth Vegan Expo. 

We’ve got big plans in the works for this year; we've listened to your feedback, and put together an event that we think you’re going to love! 

However, we’re reaching out with an urgent call for action because the Perth Vegan Expo 2024 needs all the support of the community this year.   

Despite our relentless efforts, we’ve run into a roadblock; we’ve been unable to secure funding from the govt event grants we’ve relied on previous years, leaving us in a bit of a pickle.  

 *BUT*, this doesn’t necessarily mean we have to cancel our beloved expo; this is where you come in!   If each of us in the community pitch in whatever we can afford to contribute (every tiny bit helps!), we can still go ahead with the event, all have an awesome time and hopefully win over some hearts and minds to join our vegan cause!

 By chipping into our crowdfunding campaign, you're becoming a crucial part of delivering the Expo and all the fun, vibrance and connection it brings to our community. Every dollar you contribute will directly fund essential event costs, from securing the venue to setting up the AV/sound systems, marquee tents, first-aid and on-site facilities.

 NOTE: If we do not reach our goal and we are unable to hold the event this year, all donations will be automatically refunded to you, with no extra effort on your part.   

*So, why should you care?* 

The Perth Vegan Expo isn't just any event—it's a vibrant celebration of the vegan lifestyle, a hub for promoting cruelty-free living, supporting our beloved vegan, and vegan-friendly businesses and a stage for amplifying the voices of animal advocates. Picture this: April 6th & 7th at Moort-ak Waadiny (Wellington Square) in East Perth—a two-day extravaganza, with music, performers, workshops, games, good food and awesome company.   

The Perth Vegan Expo is a place for everyone; a melting pot of diversity - we had 6,000 of you join us last year and we hope this year will build upon that, creating another weekend to remember!   

*You may wonder, why are we asking you?*

 We have decided to reach out to our community for crowdfunding support rather than charging for entry. Whilst the Perth Vegan Expo is an event for vegans to enjoy, it’s also a pivotal opportunity to reach a wide range of people; a chance to showcase to non-vegans what veganism is about, that anyone can do it, and being vegan doesn’t mean missing out! The best way we can do this is by making sure there is no barrier to attendance, aka a free event - lets win us over some new vegans!
