Join the fight with Kevin McDonald

Join the fight to help Kevin McDonald and his family. Kevin got devastating news last year that he had lung cancer. He took many months off of work for his chemotherapy and radiation treatments in hope to beat the cancer inside of him. Long days, pain, and determination that he would keep fighting this illness showed light at the end of the tunnel as he beat the lung cancer. Kevin came back to work with a glow around him as he knew he had time left on his life to spend with family and friends. Doctors had follow up appointments with kevin along with an MRI and other tests. The tests showed that he had a mass in his head and also on his kidneys, but was denied scanning of his abdomen which could have caught what was next to come. Recently Kevin received news that he now has STAGE IV STOMACH CANCER. Kevin now has to do chemotherapy once every 21 days( next couple months). It will take 3 months for the doctors to understand if the treatment is even helping him with the chance that it may do nothing at all. While being out for treatment his first time, the insurance providers were changed and short-term disability was not given in the plan and the selection for short term was not selected. Kevin now has the struggles of taking time from work to do his treatment while not receiving income. We as a group of co-workers are asking for any help any of you reading this can give to help the hardships and financial aspects this terrible disease has done to a great man and his family.
