Our family was recently blindsided by some devastating news that my mom, and the girls' "Mamama", Kathleen, has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. To say that the diagnosis came as a shock to all of us would be an understatement.

The initial diagnosis, coming from an ER visit, biopsy surgery and paracentesis and many appointments, scans, tests, and the start of chemotherapy all happening within about a week and a half, has sent us all swirling.

My mom is widowed, and I am her only daughter. She's the strongest person I know, and if there is anyone who can FIGHT and BEAT this, it is her.

In preparation for all the unknowns ahead, the medications, treatments, extra supplies, and to help alleviate the burdens that I know are facing us around the corner, I am asking for help from my friends in any way that they can; be it through prayer, donation to her FIGHT cause, or simply support.
