It started 7 months ago. I had been diagnosed with a cardiac arrhythmia and Atrial Fibrillation. Now I needed hospitalization to put me back in sinus rhythm.

Seven times in the ER and five times as an inpatient ensued.

I contracted C-Diff at the hospital, a serious gastro infection that is spread in hospitals because of poor sanitation. My case is severe. It has taken 6 months of medication and we are not sure it is completely gone.

When all this started back in early December, I knew I had CLL, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, but it was not active and I needed no treatment. When my immune system was compromised because of the C-Diff, the CLL became worse. I'm now on weekly infusions to help get it back under control.

This has all taken a tremendous toll on my physical and mental health as well as my finances. These treatments, hospital bills and doctors' bills are enormous...well into the five figures. The financial burden is increasingly stressful and impairs my ability to get well.

I am asking any of you who can to help me defray some of these expenses. Medicare only covers a part of them. Whatever you can contribute would be a help and I thank you in advance.
