John's Medical Fund

As some of you may already know, our dad, John Dahl, was recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer. Because GBMs are highly malignant tumors, initial treatment involved surgery to remove as much of the masses as possible. Radiation and chemotherapy are then recommended in an effort to stall the growth of new tumorous masses. Unfortunately, despite current best practices, GBMs are often life threatening within a year of diagnosis.

Our dad had surgery two weeks ago, which was successful in removing the majority of the tumors, and he is now recovering at Country Villa Plaza Health Care Center in Santa Ana, CA. However, our dad will require additional treatment in the form of physical and occupational therapy, chemotherapy, and radiation, and still has a long road ahead of him.
