John's Jaw

I have worked with John Wiggins for almost 3 years, those years have been full of hospital stays and doctors visits. When hes not in the hospital he is working his rear end off to save for surgeries. He has been trying to do all of this on his own but its time we come together and take the load off of his back. 
So let's inform you what has been going on:

-John has thyroid cancer.
-The cancer has taken over his jaw and lymph nodes.
-The cancer is spreading to other lymph nodes in his body.
-He has been through radiation therapy, immuno therapy, and dietary changes.
-Currently there are 3 tumors in his jaw.
-The next step is surgical removal of the thyroid and the entire lower jaw. There is no saving the original jaw, so they must replace it with an implant. 
-John will be going to Arizona to have surgery under a special program for Sarcomas.
-Prior to diognosis John did not have health care. He does now, but the program requires a payment of $16,000 prior to surgery. Once the payment is received then insurance kicks in. 
-The $16K doesn't cover the jaw, teeth, and multiple copays--that comes out to a whopping $33,400. 
-John has saved up/raised majority of that and is only about $11,000 away from his goal.
