Tammy's Cancer Fund

Life can change in an instant. This is something the Harvey family found out recently when Tammy was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. It was a whirlwind after the diagnosis, as she was scheduled to start chemo almost immediately to try to shrink the two tumors that she had found herself only weeks earlier. Chemo was a hard road as she continued to hold down her full time job as well as try to keep life as normal as possible for her husband and 16-year-old son.

Tammy has now finished 6 rounds of chemo and is undergoing a double mastectomy on September 12th.  They are hoping that no other tumors will be found and that it has not entered into the chest wall, but will have to wait until surgery to find out all the details.

This sudden cancer diagnosis has had even more of an impact on the Harvey family, as her husband Jessie had undergone a kidney transplant only a few years earlier and is still struggling with the costs and health effects of a major organ transplant.


Tammy and Jessie have already received a great deal of support from those in the community to which they are extremely grateful.  They have so much love and appreciation for so many people that have already assisted their family in so many ways. Now that Tammy is going in for surgery and will need some time to recover, we are hoping to gather continued support to ensure finances is one thing they do not need to worry about for now.
