2020 Captain John Wing Scholarship Fund

On behalf of the London Business School MBA Class of 2017, we are raising money to honour our dear friend and classmate, John Wing. The scholarship will be given to a veteran in the incoming LBS MBA class of 2022.
John arrived on campus in August 2015 with experience from the Australian Military and dreams of changing the world. They say you learn more from your classmates than you do from your professors and that was certainly the case with John. His strong leadership balanced with humility, his intense focus balanced with a mischievous grin. The joy he brought to the campus, both in the classroom and on the pitch, is one we have not forgotten.
Unfortunately, his time at London was cut short as he needed to return to Sydney to fight cancer and in recent days, this fight has become even more challenging. Although physically weaker than his army days, John remains mentally strong with the support of his wife, Georgia, and family and friends (near and far).
Cancer robbed John of the opportunity to graduate from LBS so we have decided to honour him by supporting a student in his or her graduate school aspirations. John still serves as an inspiration to all of us and we know his story and scholarship will inspire another generation of LBS students as well.
