John Robert Pepple Memorial Fund
My father John developed cancer 2 years ago and tragically succumbed to the disease on January 4th, 2021. He fought to end with grace and fortitude.
Dr. John Robert Pepple was a distinguished professional that dedicated his life to helping others, specifically Veterans for over 20 years. In this light, came the idea of a fund that could continue his legacy in this field.
He was an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School in the Teacher Clinician Track. He participated in major NIMH and VA cooperative study research initiatives investigating the neuropsychology and molecular genetics of schizophrenia. He has coauthored over 15 articles in this area. My father was most proud of having supervised psychology interns and postdoctoral Fellows in the assessment and treatment of male and female veterans with severe psychopathology.
We hope to continue his legacy and mission through providing aid to Fellows and/or interns who most represent the values John exhibited. We will allocate the funds raised through this initiative in the form of annual award in memorial of John Pepple’s life work.
Our objective is to raise $10,000 with all proceeds being directed to the Brockton VA Medical Center. Further criteria and updates will be provided accordingly.
We humbly thank you for your generosity during this difficult time and making it possible to continue his life’s mission of helping veterans suffering with severe psychopathy.
