JOHN NEEDS A HAND...

Everybody knows andloves John. He has just been evicted from the house he lived in with his mother for 44 years since she passed away. The family is taking the house and putting him out.. therefore he has to move. He lives on a fixed income of only $600/month. I have found him a tiny apartment where he will feel safe here in town. They only gave him 10 days to get out and no money. He needs $125 for electric deposit, $200 apartment deposit and $400 first months rent just to get in. He sold his last load of cans today and got $51.24. He was only allowed to take what he had scavenged from the sides of the road and his clothes from the house. Hopefully John will qualify for Section 8 whenever it opens for applications, but until then he is going to be struggling. He can no longer collect and sell cans because he cannot keep them at his new location. I have contacted all sorts of people and places hoping surely some of our hard earned tax dollars would go to help a homeless mentally challenged man of 54...no luck. If you could help make this devastating move a little easier for him we would both appreciate it. He is afraid of leaving the only home he really knows and totally confused as he does not understand why this is happening to him. Please have a heart, this could be your child.
